Changing audio components after 12 years of one unaltered set-up has been a big deal for me.

Over the past two years I could hear in my head the way the music should sound.

I grew progressively more dissatisfied with my stereo, and the amps in particular.

I also knew that a higher level of resolution was possible, and that I needed a state-of-the-art DAC to get closer to the artists.

And I kept thinking about batteries!

BYOB was calling me through the ethers. At length I recognized its voice and responded.

Now that your components are settling into my living room, and my consciousness, I understand that the sound I was hearing in my head was actually your sound. I will even dare to say -- including all those who find their way to the Astonishing Micro Machines -- our sound.

It is your achievement and your gift to us: the beauty of the truth.

I shall make the necessary adjustments.
