| Review of Altmann complete system
the DAC arrived yesterday (it had been sitting at the post office for a week, they uncharacteristically forgot to put a slip in my box). It is outstanding! I installed a squeezebox classic, as you suggested and very very happy with the clarity and depth of the sound. Sometimes, when I'm up and about, doing something and an unusual or surprising sound is suddenly introduced on a cut (and not at loud levels either), I'll be momentarily startled, as if the cause is actually in the room. I've noticed this in both the dog and cat too! Wow, if you think about that, fooling hearing of a dog - and not a stupid one either! The DAC ratcheted up the quality very noticeably and again, I find it hard to leave the room. ---- This is a review of the Altmann BYOB Amplifier, Attraction DAC, Creation ADC, Altmann Phono Stage, , BYOB Speaker System, Altmann Acoustic Panel, Altmann UPCI (Ultra Precision Clock Injector) or Altmann JISCO (Jitter Scrambling Decorrelator). |
